The Caribbean is by far one of the most popular cruise destinations in the world. The fantastic weather, close proximity to the US and tourist friendly locals make it an ideal place for a vacation.

1. Southern Caribbean. Aruba and Antigua are both located in the Southern area and both are famous for their sandy white beaches. St Lucia has some of the best scenery of all the Caribbean islands and has some of the most beautiful rainforest in the world.
2. Western Caribbean. Belize and the Grand Cayman are both in the Western region. Jamaica is a very popular location in the Western Caribbean and is an extremely popular stop for cruise ships. While in Jamaica be sure to visit Dunns river falls.
3. Eastern Caribbean. The British and American virgin isles are located in the eastern Caribbean as well as St Thomas, the volcanic island covered in a mat of lush greenery. You may also want to consider visiting Puerto Rico or the Bahamas.
Whichever area of the Caribbean you visit you are sure to have a memorable vacation. The entire string of islands are great getaway spots. If you do your research you may find some hidden gems that you didn't even know existed.
Because of the proximity of the Caribbean to the US it is extremely easy to get there. On some of the busier islands flights land hourly but by far the most popular way to see the area is via a cruise ship or an island hopper boat.
